«Today, at 9 in the morning, former governor Alfredo Díaz wrote to me informing me that he had been detained in the state of Portuguesa, by Sebin. At 9 in the morning was the last time I heard from him, he told me ‘don’t worry, they’re going to interview me, since I haven’t done anything, they’re probably going to release me,'” he said at the beginning of his statement. .

Then, she clarified that due to the current conditions in the country, her husband ended up detained, since he had criticized the authorities for the intense electrical failures that were recorded in recent days on the island. “It is a government where one cannot raise one’s voice and say things by their name, which is wrong, it cannot be done.”
