They arrested the accused of the murder of Mercedes Herrera

The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) announced the capture of Neiquel Gutiérrez, accused along with his partner Franyelin Ortiz, of the murder of journalist Mercedes Herrera, in Altamira.

After the complaint, security officials went to the journalist’s home and found her lifeless, in a state of decomposition and tied up.

The authorities carried out investigations into the incident and initially managed to arrest Franyelin Ortiz (25), the victim’s service employee, the intellectual and material author of the incident.

«Franyelin, went to the victim’s home to do her domestic work; However, she had coordinated with her partner, Neiquel, to strip her of valuable items, so on the day of the incident, due to Mercedes’ carelessness, she allowed the man to enter, who subdued her by the neck and took her to the room. where they tied her up and left her inside a dressing room,” said Rico.

Valuable clothing and at least $1,000 in cash were taken from the victim’s house.

Then, as they left, they decided to kill her with a plastic bag that they tied to her head.
