Tobago drug block operations result in weed seizure
Tobago police executed two anti-crime exercises at known drug blocks in the Scarborough and Crown Point areas earlier this week, which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cannabis.
According to a police report, on Tuesday afternoon, officers attached to the Gang Intelligence Unit conducted a drug block operation in the Crown Point area. There, the officers discovered a transparent plastic bag containing cannabis, weighing 122 grams.
In a separate operation on Wednesday, a coordinated drug block operation took place in the Scarborough district. During this operation, officers seized one transparent plastic bag containing 22 grams of cannabis and one transparent glass jar containing a total of 230 grams of cannabis.
According to the police report, the operations “demonstrated the commitment of law enforcement to combat drug-related activities and enhance community safety.”
