The Tobago SMART Classroom Enhancement project has kicked into its second phase aiming to drive the adoption of technology in education.

Local telecommunications service provider, Flow, is supporting the project.

Teachers from nine schools across Tobago attended the session, including Speyside High School, Roxborough Secondary, Goodwood Secondary, Mason Hall Secondary, Signal Hill Secondary, Bishops High School, Scarborough Secondary, Harmon SDA and Pentecostal Light and Life.

On September 4, as schools reopened for the new academic year, executives of Flow Trinidad witnessed and participated in an intensive workshop session on the “SMART Classroom Enhancement project” for thirty-five teachers from schools across Tobago.

Simone Martin-Sulgan, Vice President and General Manager of Flow shared that, “Flow is proud to support initiatives that promote education and technology. We believe that the Tobago SMART Classroom Enhancement project will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in Tobago, connecting teachers and students.  We also commend the teachers for embracing the transformative power of technology in education.”

Phase 1 of the project was focused on installing hardware components and providing introductory training to teachers, while this second phase is strategically designed to empower teachers with the tools, training, and support necessary to effectively leverage new and emerging technologies in their practice.
