Recently, a friend of mine commenting on a letter I had written drawing attention to the “garbage dumps” visible along the roadsides across Trinidad and Tobago, suggested that the average citizen either overlooks or tolerates these unsightly scenes.
At the time, I was reluctant to accept this as true. However, in light of the stench emanating from Parliament—particularly since September 30—I find myself reconsidering my friend’s observation.
