Trinidad and Tobago’s weather: Hot and sunny over most areas

Here’s a look at the weather courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service. 

For the period today until midnight, expect hot and sunny conditions over most areas with the exception of a light shower. There is the medium to high (60 per cent to 70 per cent) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity, favoring Northern and Eastern areas, developing from mid-morning.

The night would be mostly fair. Gusty winds and street/flash flooding are possible in the vicinity of heavy downpours. Localised ponding can occur in areas so prone.

Seas are moderate, with waves 1.5m, up to 2.0m in the Leewards in open waters and below one metre in sheltered areas.
