TT Chamber Wants Swift Action On Crime
The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce strongly condemns the recent spate of violent crime.
In a statement, the Chamber called on Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, the Minister of National Security, and the Acting Commissioner of Police to address this increase in crime with swift and effective action.
The Chamber’s comments follow the killing of businesswoman Nicole Moses on Thursday. The organisation said it notes with concern that two of the perpetrators collectively had 21 pending charges for robberies, home invasions, and larceny.
The Chamber said this points to loopholes in the country’s justice system which need to be addressed immediately.
