UCV announced that it will reactivate its transportation system

Starting next September 23, the Central University of Venezuela -UCV- will reactivate the transportation system for students and its employees. This was announced on Thursday by the Administrative Vice-Rectorate of this university (VRAD UCV).

School, urban and suburban routes will be activated and will have different schedules and days, depending on the VRAD.

For this purpose, a wide circuit of stops is intended, not only for the Metropolitan Area of ​​Caracas, but also for cities located in the center of the country, such as Maracay. All under a set schedule that starts, depending on the location, at 5:45 in the morning.

UCV and urban routes in the reactivation of the transport service

For the student population and UCV workers who live in El Silencio, the departure will be from the Santa Teresa Church. The return is scheduled for 2:20 p.m. to the Pasillo de las Banderas, Bellas Artes, the Parque Carabobo bridge, La Hoyada, Korda Modas and Plaza O’Leary.

From Monday to Thursday, from the modules, the departure times will be at 5:15 p.m. From the School of Administration at 6:50 p.m.

At 6:30 in the morning, the renowned university will also enable a unit to make the departure route from La Hacienda, Zoológico, Caricuao, Plaza El Indio, La Vega and UCV.

The return will be at 2:20 p.m. from the Flags Corridor, La Vega, Antímano, Ruiz Pineda, Ambulatory, Caricuao walkway, Zoo and La Hacienda.

Suburban

The service will be offered from Monday to Thursday in the following areas with their respective schedules:

  • La Guaira, which leaves at 6:00 in the morning from the La Guaira stop.
  • Los Teques, which will leave at 5:45 in the morning from the Los Teques stop.
  • Guarenas-Guatire, which leaves at 6 in the morning.
  • Charallave at 5:45 in the morning from the stop.

The return will be at 4:30 p.m. for all routes marked as suburban from the Flag Corridor.

In the case of La Rinconada, the service will be provided at 2:20 p.m. also from the Pasillo de las Banderas.

School Route

The VRAD indicated that, for this alternative, it will be from Monday to Thursday, with departure at 7:45 in the morning from the Banderas corridor as the only stop. While at 11:30 in the morning, it will leave from the UCV Transportation headquarters.

In Maracay

The departure from the garden city will be on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. from the UCV Transportation headquarters. These stops will be: Encrucijada de Cagua, the Maracay Terminal, as well as the Maracay Core.

The return will be on Sundays at 2:00 pm from the city’s passenger terminal.
