The 79th session on the United Nations General Assembly opens in New York City on Tuesday, September 10. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the General Assembly Dennis Francis, from Trinidad and Tobago, are expected to deliver statements. World leaders will gather for the annual high-level General Debate on September 24-28, and 30. The theme is ‘Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations
