Unions fire back at Imbert’s proposed 5% wage increase
While some union leaders are preparing for negotiations, other are firing back at the finance minister’s proposed 5 percent wage increase.
Leaders of both TTUTA and the Fire Services Association contend, that the minister side-stepped proper practice during budget presentation.
The Head of the Public Services Association went a step further, even likening the minister’s behaviour to a bully.
Meanwhile the increase in minimum wage for public sector employees is being viewed as an election ploy by another union boss.
Jesse Ramdeo has the details.
