Venezuela protests to the European Union over Borrell’s statements
Venezuela on Tuesday delivered a note of protest to the European Union’s chargé d’affaires in the country, Rachel Roumet, following statements by the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, who He described Nicolás Maduro’s regime as dictatorial.
Through a publication in X, the Vice Minister for Europe of Venezuela, Coromoto Godoy, reported the delivery of the claim note to Roumet for the “continuous interventionist statements” by Borrell.
«Venezuela is respected, we will not tolerate any more interference in our country. The European Union should address its problems, because “Their plans against our democracy failed as always,” said Godoy, who shared a photograph of the meeting with the European official.

The Venezuelan regime is “dictatorial and authoritarian”
On Sunday, Borrell described Maduro’s regime as dictatorial and authoritarian, considered the arrests arbitrary and condemned the fact that presidential candidate Edmundo González had to leave his country after reporting political and judicial persecution.
