Venezuelans Line Up Across T&T For Registration

Acting Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, is calling on all Venezuelans to take advantage of the two-week amnesty period to register.

The registration process opened at venues in Port of Spain, San Fernando and Scarborough this morning, with many Venezuelans seizing the opportunity to register.

The gates at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain were opened at 7am with many Venezuelans lined up as early as 4am.

Minister Hinds was pleased by what he saw and said the process was good.

Dual Citizen, Christopher Watkins, told TTT News this country can benefit from the process, as many Venezuelans with tertiary level qualifications are among those registering.
