TRINIDAD, TOBAGO AND THE SOUTHERN WINDWARDS

Partly cloudy/occasionally cloudy conditions accompanied by periods of showers or rain over some areas.

There is also the 40% to 70% (medium to high) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity in a few areas.

Nighttime will be partly cloudy with lingering showers.

Gusty winds and street flooding are possible in the vicinity of heavy downpours.

***Adverse Weather Alert #2 – Yellow Level is in effect.

Activity associated with the ITCZ is currently encroaching onto Trinidad from the South-east. Periods of rainfall, heavy showers and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in excess of 55km/hr can be expected. This activity will continue to affect Trinidad and gradually spread to Tobago.

Likely impacts include localized flooding and landslips in some areas. Gusty winds can cause broken tree branches and displace unsecured items.

Monitor weather conditions and the conditions of your surroundings. Do not wade or drive through flood waters. Exercise caution where there has been wind damage.
