When I hand over power it will be to a Chavista
In a recent statement, Nicolás Maduro stated that when the time comes hand over command will do it to a “Chavista.”
“When it is my turn to hand over power, I will hand it over to a president who is Chavista, Bolivarian and revolutionary,” Maduro said.
During the event, Maduro stressed that his government has worked hard to strengthen the principles of 21st century socialism and that any successor must be aligned with these values. “Chavismo is an impregnable, indestructible force, because Chavismo at this moment in history can say that it is vaccinated against betrayal, against divisionism,” he declared.
The message was conveyed through a meeting whose name was Meeting with the 5 generations of the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela. «I am very happy that we are here in the presidential palace of Miraflores (…) a house of the people and for the people coveted by the oligarchies.»
Maduro stressed the importance of unity within the ruling party and the need to prepare new generations of leaders who can continue. “We are training the future leaders who will carry forward this revolution,” he added.
