WHY JAMAICAN AND CARIBBEAN POLITICAL LEADERS ARE NO LONGER PROGRESSIVE AND ANTI-IMPERIALISTS



In recent times, there have been many strange developments in the Caribbean and Latin American region. It is rather disconcerting to note that many of our politico-economic leaders in the region are working hand-in-glove with imperialists in their quest to destabilize the region. For example, Mia Mottley, prime minister of Barbados seems to heading for the post of the next secretary general of the United Nations. Further, Nigel Clarke, finance minister of Jamaica is on his way to the IMF to become one of the deputy managing directors of this neoliberal institution. Why are Caribbean leaders embracing the imperialist agenda.
