Woman, 18, dies in crash on Hochoy highway
AN 18-year-old woman died in a car accident on the evening of August 20 on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.
Initial reports said Kaylee Poonan was the passenger in a red Mitsubishi Lancer driven by her 19-year-old boyfriend on the northbound lane of the highway when, around 6.30 pm, near Papouri, the driver lost control of the car and slammed into a lightpole.
Poonan died on the spot. Her boyfriend was taken to hospital.
On August 19 Poonan tagged her boyfriend in pictures on social media of a woman holding on to handles inside a vehicle with the caption: “No joke, mans drive like if I have extra lives.”
More on this as it develops.
